  the weekends over***
and it's time to get back to work again..sigh. well, it's been a somewhat productive weekend. i got lots finished with my scrapbook and pasted some old pictures in. i started a new pencil drawing which i'm hoping to finish sometime this week. i also made a mix tape, which i'm listening to now. satisfaction indeed..smile. i'm also hooked on another book; this one is called "unclassified: a walker evans anthology". super facinating, composted of writings and photos from evans. well, i guess i'll get back to reading. over*

  thoughts on pollution***
did you ever feel completely helpless against this hustle-bustle polluting world? i don't agree with the way we live; not thinking about tomorrow or those who come after us, not to mention the species that are dying out due to our bad decisions. so what can you do? to take action by sending an email, please see the link above!

  an undocumented party***
well, her birthday party turned out okay. the weather has been shitty all week long and finally yesterday everything cleared up. it always ticks me off when i realize, i should have brought my camera. the thing is, i have one old automatic camera which i totally love (mostly because this is the camera i learned all the technical tricks with) and then i have a lomo colorsplash camera. my pentax k1000 is probably the best thing that ever happened to me, however, the lomo is also an interesting invention. the two are actually not meant to be compared. the lomo colorsplash is good for suprising yourself in what will come out colorwise, which means getting your creative gears going and letting things come together themselves. isn't that beautiful?! speaking of which, it's gorgeous outside! over*

  at the library***
i am looking for photos, pictures & inspiration at the library and i run into this really wonderful book called "drive-by shootings" about david bradford. He makes a living as both a taxi driver and photographer living in new york. he combines his every-day work and passion together to capture moments and record them on film. to find out more there is a link above. over*

  the highlight of my day***
was a great big cloud that hung over the whole sky this afternoon. on the bottom of the cloud was a dark shadow and on top a silver lining. in this moment, i wished i had a camera with a fish eye lense, then i could keep this view forever. but i guess i'll just file it along with all of the other beautiful skies i've seen at other times. to look at some beautiful clouds there is a link above:) over*

  under the tracks***
double americano with milk to go. that's his drink. he stands all day long under the s-bahn station selling tiny treasures, incense and hacky sacks. i just so happened to have a terrible day that day and finished with work, i went to catch my train. there he was again and like any other day, i said hi and gave a slight smile. "wait a minute, i have something for you." he said, putting his hand into his pocket searching for something. he put a tiny turquoise scareb beetle in the middle of my hand and closed it. "it brings goodluck." i smiled and said thanks continuing on to catch my train. for the next few minutes, i held the tiny charm in my hand feeling the energy bouncing of the object. this suprise..is one of gold :) over*

  i told you so***
i just got home and i walk into the backyard, and as usual, i lock my bike. wait a minute. i normally lock it to another bike and it's gone!! shit, they ripped of a's bike! it's been standing in the backyard unlocked for about 2 years untouched...strange enough, 2 days ago some new people moved in downstairs and opened a store downstairs; whose door is right next to where the bike was. i have more information, which i won't say, which definitely points the finger to these people and now what?! very annoying! over*

  suprise message***
it's tuesday at about 6:45 pm and i'm at work for a double shift when i suddenly get the urge to check my phone. ahh, a message. call the mailbox. "oops, hurry the fuck up!" i panic;worries and bad scenarios run through my head. normally i'm alone at work at this time but, to my luck my boss just arrived. "i got this strange message and i don't know what i should think?! i tried calling back but, nobody is picking up at home or on his phone?!" "go ahead and take off, just go home." i still had an almost an hour long bike ride ahead of me. i race at speed unknown to me to get home, dropping my phone and scratching it to hell and almost flattening my tire (which i noticed the next day). finally, home! lock your bike, go up the stairs, ahh, a note on the door: oops, i'm at the neighbors house. i locked my self out and then accidentally turned off my phone, not knowing the code. can you pick me up? -a over*

  an owl outside my window***
it's funny that wildlife can somehow still live in the city. that makes me extremely happy considering it's rarity, a precious jewel. there is a fox who lives in the park near my house but, i wonder where he goes when they have the carnival every year? and lately, at 5 or 6 in the morning, an owl calls outside my window. i realize how lucky i am :) over*

  catching up to do!!***
well, since the 27th lots have happened. actually too much to mention so, i'll just have to hit the highlights. last friday evening we were booked for a gig at a location in mitte for an author's reading for the release of a book about mp3's and the current state of the music industry. the request was that we play lounge music. little did they know, but hidden in our records bags were countless numbers of techno and house records!! of course things started off slow that evening with rhythms of guitar sounds and ambient floods (boards of canada, savath&savalas..etc.) then the reading began. is this the end of the music industry? well definitely, how we know it today and it's face of yesterday! the heat of discussion followed and after seemingly 2 hours, a pause broke in the room. okay that's it, time to play records again. starting with a smooth but steady beat, we pulled them in. get a drink, sit back and enjoy. we rocked that bar down to disco town!!whew! take a breathe. over*
